How To Use Your Watermark On Social [Mobile] Media

When my customers order a logo from me, it's customary for me to make them a "floating logo" which essentially is their logo [at times condensed] with a transparent background. This makes a great tool for watermarking photos of product, photographical property, etc.
I, myself...use one for Fancy Face Kreations and use a different one for my tumblr handle (mamakamama/motherbutterfly). It's customary to place a watermark on your property throughout the internet to deter theft of digital property. My photos, logos and personal memes all have my watermark on them and placing them there is easy as pie!
Here's some basics on how to utilize your watermark via mobile for social media:
- Create a storage on a site like Dropbox or Box and store watermark in a file of your choosing
- Install the app on your phone
- Install a photo editing app like Pixlr Express (my favorite)
How to use watermark:
- If you take a picture and want to place a watermark, share it to Pixlr
- go to "adjustment" (which is the icon furthest to the left) > then "double exposure" > "tap to add photo"
- choose Dropbox (or where your file is) > file name your watermark is in > choose watermark
- you can now adjust the size (pinch and zoom), turn it to fit sideways or upright, and opacity (so as not to obstruct photo quality)
- hit "apply" and then "save"
- from "save" you can "share" to social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) or you can choose "gallery" and save to your phone's storage for later usage.
VOILA! You've used your watermark via mobile!!
I use Pixlr because thus far, I haven't found another app that has an option to add a picture. I haven't TRIED them all, but hey...why fix it if it ain't broke. I do use other photo editing apps for whatever different effects they have, but Pixlr is my go to app for adding watermarks, adding art styles and a number of other effects (like signing your photos with your IG handle on the spot via text using several font types).
I hope this information was useful. I strive to simplify the process of logo usage on the internet for my customers. There's nothing worse than not knowing how to navigate your business on social media.
Til next time...stay Fancy!!!
